Our first Central America and North America workshops focused only on teaching tissue art and narrative writing. The children in both communities learned how to paint like Eric Carle, author of The Very Hungary Caterpillar. With their tissue art they helped Kristina co-create a beautiful tissue art painting, The Great Harvest Horse Meets The Great Painted Turtle. Each child in Vermont and rural Nicaragua shared their narrative lives through story telling, artwork and photographs in the Kids Share: Nicaraguan and Vermont Children’s Narratives Book. This book is in Spanish and English.
